Port Orchard Real Estate
Port Orchard surrounds both sides of highway 16 and is about 12 miles from Pierce County and Gig Harbor to the south and east.There are three major intersections/accesses from Port Orchard to highway 16: Tremont Street; Sedgewick Road and Mullenix Road. There is a park-and-ride lot at Mullenix Road.
There is a multi-run, daily foot ferry that operates from the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard to downtown Port Orchard. There is also a larger ferry run from Southwick that runs to Seattle via Vashon Island.
The McCormick Land Company owns vast areas of undeveloped land in the South Kitsap area and has located a multi-thousand home development called McCormick Woods around a public golf course by the same name.
